Recipe: Tastes Like Lasagna Soup

I found this recipe while surfing Pinterest {what else would I be doing???}, and thought it looked so good! While mine didn’t look as good as Paula Deen’s {do they ever?} it still tasted wonderful!
 Yummy yum yum yum!

Tastes Like Lasagna Soup
Ingredients
1 pound ground hamburger
Dash of onion salt
Dash of garlic powder
1 tsp. thyme
1 tbsp. packed brown sugar
1 {32 oz} chicken broth
2 {14 ½ oz} can petite diced tomatoes
1 can tomato sauce
2 tsp. Italian seasoning
½ tsp. salt
2 cups broken lasagna noodles
Grated parmesan cheese
Directions
In large saucepan, combine hamburger, onion salt, and garlic powder and cook over medium-high for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally until beef is browned and crumbles. Drain well. Stir in thyme, brown sugar, broth, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat; reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Add noodles, and simmer until noodles are tender. Serve with sprinkled parmesan and cheese.
